Team Previews Pt. 4 – Colorado Rapids, Red Bulls New York

Welcome back, soccer fans, to The Sons of a Pitch: An American Soccer Podcast. In tonight’s episode, recorded February 3, 2020, our hosts preview the Colorado Rapids and Red Bulls New York. One team looks poised to make some noise, while the other is in a complete roster re-build.

Joining the hosts is Joseph Samelson of Rapids Republic, a credentialed Rapids reporter and devoted soccer fan. Tune in as he, Nick, and Mike review the Rapids roster, discuss the most important players, and give their predictions as to the outcome of Colorado’s season. We want to thank Joseph for joining us and helping us elevate our podcast for this mile-high preview!

Next, Nick and Mike preview the current state of Red Bulls New York, one that can generously be described as a re-build. With so much roster turnover (BWP and Robles to name two) and uncertainty around star center back Aaron Long, coach Chris Armas will once again be on the hot seat. Tune in for the projected starting eleven and how well the red side of New York could finish.

The episode wraps up with news and notes from around Major League Soccer (MLS), including takes on the latest roster moves of FC Cincinnati and the Chicago Fire. All this and more in the latest episode of The Sons of a Pitch: An American Soccer Podcast.
